The state Information Technology Agency (SITA) of south africa is the government’s IT arm mandated to provide the national government with timely and responsive information and communication technology services. In addition, it is SITA is a job to efficiently acquire IT products and services for the government use. The Agency is also responsible for creating and applying interoperability and security standards in key government ICT programs.
Whatever the challenges, SITA has become an important player in improving ICT performance. This is evident in the main existing government systems and services. SITA’s Network Operations Center (NOC) and Next Generation Network (NGN) are used by the government as the backbone of the country’s ICTs.
The Agency is becoming a client-centered organization that is successful with a renewed and timely mission: to provide ICT products and services to SMEs, while continuing to comply with government policies of national development.
SITA internship program
In line with the government’s vision to improve the quality of life of young unemployed South Africans by creating stable jobs and developing skills, SITA implements youth development programs. This initiative includes a variety of learning opportunities, such as internships, scholarships and students.
The Agency’s internship offer is designed to provide relevant skills and work experience to students without a higher education diploma and to holders of diplomas who need to acquire pilot and / or continuing education. employment as part of your academic requirements. The ultimate goal is to increase your chances of obtaining a substantial and permanent job.
Interns will be assigned to fields determined by their field of study. They will also be supervised by a coach and a mentor in the workplace. Students will also be entitled to a monthly allowance of R5,500.

Requirements or eligibility

-South African students enrolled or in grade 12
-People with a bachelor’s or university degree in computer science or project management, or relevant qualification
-Applicants must not have participated in an internship program in the past
